Ovidiu Alexandru Raețchi (born September 15, 1979) is a Romanian politician. A member of the National Liberal Party and previously of the Conservative Party, he has sat in the Romanian Chamber of Deputies since 2012, representing a seat for the diaspora. Born in Bucharest, he is a 2002 Political Science graduate of the National School of Political Science and Public Administration. From 2002 to 2008, he was an adviser at the Chamber of Deputies. From 2008 to 2012, he headed FACIAS, the Foundation for Citizens' Defense against State Abuses. From 2009 to 2012, he was an adviser at the Romanian Senate, and from 2011 to 2012, he directed the publication ''Ghimpele''.〔 (Curriculum vitae ) at the Romanian Chamber of Deputies site; accessed March 7, 2013〕 Raețchi joined the Conservative Party in 2012,〔 but defected to the National Liberal Party in September 2014.〔 He has two published works—''Eseistica'', a collection of essays from 2004, and ''Din Agora'', a volume of political articles from 2012.
